This print was taken in 1869 by George Edward Herne and forms part of the Archaeological Survey of India Collections (India Office Series). It shows a view of Gosain's 'samadhi' at Narwar. A 'samadhi' is a funerary memorial in the form of an open-sided pavilion. This pillared example comprises a steeply curved roof, with three arched openings on each of its four sides, and sits on a wide quadrangular plinth.
